If you always do what you always done, you will always get what you’ve always got.
Have you heard the saying ‘If you always do what you have always done, you will always get what you always got, and if you always get what you always got you will never get what you always want’ And it’s true, when I was on that treadmill of working 9-5pm day in day out for more years than I care to remember, I was getting the same outcomes and achieving nothing. Okay I was able to buy food, clothes and pay the bills but what I didn’t know was I was living a very mediocre life, not stepping outside of my comfort zone, only doing what was required of me but still, I did it to the best of my abilities, just did not stretch myself any more than I needed to.
It didn’t cross my mind that I was not achieving my full potential, that there was so much more in me that I was not tapping in to, the more I learnt the more I grew. I began to realise I had been holding myself back due to the limiting beliefs I held and I did not even realise it.
Is this the right time for you to start putting the motion in place to start achieving successful outcomes for yourself? You and only you must want it enough and be willing to work hard enough to realise your goals. The only thing that will stand in your way is lack of focus, due diligence and limiting beliefs.
Achieving your goal means really focusing your mind to bring into reality your dreams and
aspirations. There is no end to what you can achieve. Results tell an interesting story. Take a
close look at your results to date, your finance, relations, your bank account, what does it say? Results don’t just happen, we make our own results, ask yourself ‘how did they happen?’ You are in absolute control of your result, nobody else but you. So, get a coach to keep you on track and focused. Get the training you need, seek out opportunities which will enable you to further develop your knowledge, skills and experiences in your chosen field. Work on becoming the very best you can be. And you WILL succeed.
Start with your end goal in mind’. Where do you see yourself in five, ten, twenty years’ time? What do you see yourself doing? Are you happy? It’s up to you to create your future.
A wise man once said “The graveyard is full of people who were given at birth great talents and abilities that never got the chance to be exposed. The people never knew what talents they possessed and took it to the grave with them.”
What talents do you have that is waiting to be exposed? You might not even recognise it yet, it took me years of working and three redundancies to realised I was not fulfilling my true potential. How will you know if you are fulfilling your potential?
Remember the saying ‘If you always do what you have always done, you will always get what you always got, and if you always get what you always got you will never get what you always want’.
